My Story

The only photo of my grandparents wedding.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and given that measurement I've written War and Peace about nine times. From a very young age I've loved photos. I have vivid memories of going through old albums and boxes with my mother and grandmother. I cherish these photos of when my mother was a little girl in Cuba or one of my grandfather my age now looking proud, tall & thin (too thin like me my grandmother says "pero fuerte" but strong). However, it wasn't until high school that I moved behind the camera. Ms. Pugach, the librarian at Saint Peter’s Prep noticed my interest in photography and actually gave me an old Nikon EM she had found in her closet. That camera set me on my journey and I am infinitely grateful.

A graduate of Saint Peter’s College I hold a B.A. in Spanish Lit with a double minor in Italian and Visual Arts. I am a huge fan of learning new languages and cultures.

My work is varied including: weddings, senior portraits, sports, travel, head-shots, off Broadway theater shoots, and some fashion photography.

I love candids and catching my subjects off guard; very rarely am I without my camera. There is something in those moments that we don’t expect. They make photos all the more meaningful because people are truly themselves.

I specialize in digital but cut my teeth on analog film photography and still try my hand at medium/large format.
